I've been to the Louvre about 8-10 times. I'm lucky enough to spend about 4 weeks each year in Paris, and I usually get to The Louvre each time I visit the city. Its great because I just head in and see certain areas of the museum now. I'll spend a couple of hours or so walking around. Its so vast that to grasp it all in one go is difficult. The one thing that struck me after the first couple of visits is that the building itself is so magnificent. It used to be one of the royal residences, and if you look up in a lot of the rooms, the painted ceilings are incredible.
