I'm not shy, so I never had problems meeting Asian guys. I found Korean men to be more aggressive in comparison to Taiwanese men (I haven't been to Japan or the Mainland yet, but do plan to go). In clubs, sometimes drunk Korean men would hit on me and the convo would often go like this:
drunk Korean guy: "Hey!!!.. *hiccups*.. can you.. *hiccup* teach me ENGLISH???"
me: "What? NOW?"
drunk Korean guy: "Yes! *hiccup* you pretty girl *hiccup* .. teach me English okay? Drink soju.. drink soju with me?*hiccup* Okay?"
I met quite a few hotties in clubs and went out with some, but like I said, zero experience with anything long-term, zero experience with much that went beyond sex (I did have a boyfriend, but he was hardly your typical Korean). Though I had good chemistry with quite a few, I can't see that I didn't find some of their behaviour quite puzzling.
I'm determined, though, to meet many nice Korean people, girls and boys alike, so I'm really trying to get as much info as I can before to be as culturally sensitive as possible (and to be able to figure them out better with the help of some professional, un-biased opinions on Koreans).
