I'm sure you'll meet many decent, polite and down to earth people through your program at Yonsei. But a couple of things to keep in mind is that you will encounter serious problems if you go there with the attitude that you'll change the world. Korea and Korean society changes at its own will and at its own pace, and usually tends to take serious offense to outsiders who come in with aggressive attitudes on what they think Korea should be. Also, given that it's still such a conformist society, it's best to try to fit in rather than stand out, dress like everyone dresses, not be loud and obnoxious and so forth. Not saying you're like this, and I suspect that since you've spent some time there already, you know that Koreans can be very brutal and make mince meat of people who threaten their way of life or sensibilities. Last thing you want to do is to become a wang-tta because you'll be miserable and hate your time there. Regardless, best of luck to you and I'm sure you'll meet so many great people there.
