mate, I work at a big uni here and see a lot of students around, esp at the uni clubs I join, and I hardly see any AMXF couple. I've counted about 3 around here. domo must have had a good day when they're all in the CBD or something.
I haven't lived in Sydney but from my trips up there, it's not much different to Melb in terms of friendliness.

I'm probably one of those exceptions. FOB, but hang out with mostly non-Asians (just realised this after reading your post), not conciously but it just happens that way because of work and hobbies. If I didn't speak an Asian language fluently and have a solid knowledge of Asian cultures and history, they would call me a bloody
As for the AMXF couple count, I don't care anymore. Whether there are a few dozens or none, it doesn't really make it easier for you personally, does it? It's still a challenge, a bigger one tailored for us just because we're AMs, because we're special.
