i'm in a frantic race to get my Cantonese better before i go, but it seems like the more i learn, the less i know. i mean, i'm around cantonese speakers all the time, but they get bored with the "get the white girl to figure out what we're saying" game and revert to english. i've got the extended pimsler course on cd, 10 books, cd dictionaries... if only i could absorb it all through osmosis!!!

no i don't have the HK ID yet. I don't even know much about that. =/ How do i get one of those. I'll be working in the film industry out there... supposedly one of the biggest ones in hk (they did infernal affairs for example).
I don't really speak cantonese that much but i understand a bunch of it. I'll probably hire a tutor to teach me daily.
