It's interesting how progressive people think they are, until you bring your significant other home.
Take my mom for instance. I brought home my guy for the first time not too long ago. She took me aside and said to me, "Sha, I always thought you would end up with a white guy!"
She was shocked that my SO wasn't black or white (like those are the only guys to chose from).
My SO's mom is still having a hard time with it. All of his previous g/f's have been white, and she was pleased as punch with them, even though all of them were under-achievers. Now he brings home a college education black woman and she gives him atitude.
Whatever.
This one's a keeper though, cause he sure set mom straight when it came to her talking about me.
