Yikes, dude. Most of those go way past metro and into the homo. I noticed on my visits to the department stores on trips to Korea that the native men like these tight briefs with patterned graphics. They would scream "FOB" if you were seen in the locker room with them.

I know that the last few women who have seen me in my skivvies liked the boxer shorts. So, I had a few Banana Republic in solid "dress shirt" colors on hand, just in case. My preference is for the "trunks" which is the style of most of the photos you included. They're snug and yet very comfortable. It gives the fellas some nice support too. And according to one gal, they're sexier than boxer briefs. Calvin Klein has trunks in most of their men's underwear lines. I don't think you can go wrong with the solid basic colors (white, black, and grey). But, of course, I, too, would like to hear from the ladies of AL on their preferences.
