Ok so it looks like we have a couple of suggestions.

Will, it looks like there are volunteer opportunities with Habitat in Oakland. Anyone interested and willing to throw out a date? I will do the research and report back.

I'm down for that! I have a black thumb so anything gardening based would be a BAD idea if I were involved, unless the goal was to kill all the plants hahahaha I don't get what kayaking during a baseball game would do though... unless we are collecting the balls that make it to the water?

I usually volunteer to teach arts and craft classes during the summer for the parks and rec activities here but they didn't do most of it this year. Are there any child based things you can find? That's always fun... especially working with disabled children.

Yes, I know... I'm a bleeding heart, hush now, the goody2shoes are talking, LOL

Yes Lilah, the job for the kayakers was to retrieve the baseballs. Again, I will do the research with the Volunteer Center for other stuff that is centered around working with children and report back.

Thanks all, I'm very happy to see other people stepping up!
Blessings
