Has it ever occurred to anyone that we Asians tend to be bit wordy and have a tendency to overexplain things?

This is a great article, no doubt.

Where the hell was this site when I was in college taking Asian American studies and trying to pass myself off as infinitely knowledgeable in this area?

And to answer the question : NO.

I don't perk up when I see Asians / Asian-American faces pop up on television and movies.

When I watch TV or a see a movie, I want to be entertained. Representation is not on my priority list.

If there happens to be Asian characters, fine. But if they're not entertaining, I'm moving on...
