I lived in Sapporo, Japan and taught english at a private school awhile back. The cost of living was definitely on the higher side and I couldn't afford to eat the types of things I eat here but I made it work...I also lost 30 lbs!! LOL I ended up rooming with a co-worker and that helped immensely. I say where there's a will there's a way. It's just something you figure out in order to have the experience.
