I have a funny story about that actually. When I first got to China I was there with girl friends from the states. We would giggle and laugh outloud like we Americans do. One of the Chinese guys who were hosting us devloped a crush on me. He would get really angry at me for laughing without covering my mouth. He would get even more mad at me because him getting mad about it made me laugh more. I later was told about the tradition and felt kind of bad about it. I still dont voer my mouth when I laugh. That oppressive shit pisses me off! hehe
