Maturity can be developed in other ways other than moving out and living on your own. I think moving out when you already have a roof over your head is not wise financially as the savings can be invested somewhere else, rather than help someone else pay off their mortgage, it can even be put away to buy a place in the future and rent out to others who think moving out and living on their own is a great way of maturing! Another option is to join the Reserve Army. The tough training and discipline you get in there is sure to make you a man real quick!
