a white, 15 yr-old highschool girl begins a relationship with a very wealthy chinese man more than 10 years her elder. he picks her up in a chauffered limousine, treats her family to a fancy meal, but is not really accepted. an impossible attachment against the backdrop of the colonial vietnam of the past. a petit-bourgeois society, poisoned by racial prejudice, full of resentment and jealousy.
