Who am I to judge anyone so complicated. The trailer is a jumble of subjects. I think the traveller/adventurer style of documentation is inherently patronizing and oten racist. I don't know if I feel racism from the video, but I really feel the documentor's ego gets in the way. I like documentaries where the person doing the research and the camera crew etc disappear and the people do their own talking. There is plenty of ego that the film maker can explore in the editing. Stay behind the camera. I can't tell if she wants us to consider NGO corruption or her sexual and culinary courage. I really don't want to consider both in the same film, you know? I don't know her credibility for the NGO /children subject - and I am not sure I want to now any more about her and her boyfriend than I already do from the trailer. Speaking as someone who knows about grants, why would anyone want to fund this film?

lol. Teri's thoughts mirror my own.
her intended audience base is clearly young teenage folks who don't know any better. personal thoughts: i felt i should've been paid to watch that piece of shite. not sure if its racist either, it just seems like she's exploiting the sensational aspects of her experiences there, and not anything of real substance.
Honestly that bit of documentary was so scattered I'm convinced that woman was on one of the many drugs she proudly stated were available. First thought: what the hell? Second thought: is she promoting herself or the organization? Her boyfriends look so young, and the way she talks about them being so poor makes me wonder if she's their meal ticket. Honestly if she did have some goal in her documentary, I assume its raising awareness of the poverty and the urge for founding, it was lost the minute she started talking about her promiscuity and fearless palate.
I didn't find this film credible either. Every country she was trying to help had one of her boyfriend's there That was troubling and odd to me.
What I got from it was that we should try to end poverty and drug trafficking in southeast Asia because there is odd cuisine and interesting culture as well as hot guys and women. I don't think that's a convincing enough argument.
i did not watch the whole thing...i did not like the expression in which the voice over person had. there was too much emphasis on certain words...in which is why maybe princess feels that way. i thought it was weird. i hate it when girls talk like that. so, in other words, it was hard for me to watch--especially listen to.
I hated it too. I had to be nice to the girl and be supportive. But I agree with japanlover... i got the feeling that she saw herself as this kind of savior to her boyfriends who were just "soooo sooo poor"
her boyfriend is 19 i think shes 43.
sorry for wasting your time with this, but i wanted other people to hate it too
age is ok...she just needs to keep it legal. but as for being the meal ticket because they are so poor...fuck that shit, support the whole fucking village, then. teach them ways to raise corps and feed themselves. purchase seeds for them and animals and raise funds that way, via a good website like the one about sponsoring a family
