Saw this interesting little doc. It's one-sided and kinda distorted. I know a girl who worked as a hostess and she thought it was a good experience overall. But it's still interesting to watch. Foreign hostess girls are popular in Japan. They get paid more than japanese girls. Looks like tough work though. The girls are so beautiful. It's a shame that they only get to meet drunk assholes. Like the one girl was saying. She knows there's good japanese men out there but she never gets to meet them.

the great happiness space interviews both the male hosts and their female customers.. at first it seems glamorous, but then they show you the downfalls and deep psychological problems it presents..

its interesting but at the same time scary to see how these girls think.. like they actually think they'll marry these guys..

and the main guy.. WOW, is he ever fucked up after hosting for so long..

anyways, i dont wanna give too much away.. plus i dont feel like typing out my whole essay of how i feel on the topic..

Interesting... I wonder if all customers know what is going on with the hostess thing. Hmm you think women and men have ever become a couple after having met in a hostess bar? I know that the women are there only to entertain, but you never know...

I think the hostess is an old tradition in Japan so I'm sure people know what it's all about. I've heard stories of foreign hostess girls getting into relationships with customers. I'm sure it happens.
