Places to hang out and have fun in China?

Going to visit China. Haven't been there since I was 6. Beijing, Chongqing, Shanghai and a few other cities. Where do I go have fun if I'm going with my dad and I dont know anyone my age there? Thanks fellas

Xintiandi is an interesting place to hang out if you're in Shanghai. It was a little bit too westernized for my tastes but it's popular with the expat crowd if you're into that.
