To those who have visited Australia, what has shocked you so far?

This suburb in Sydney's Sutherland Shire called 'Bangor' it's isolated by two rivers and can only be accessed by one bridge. I had to go there to fix my printer once and even though it was only 1/2 hour drive from my place it felt like somewhere in woop woop land. It felt like Australia 20 years ago, I was the only Asian and got heaps of stares...

Driving into the outskirts of Melbourne after driving across from West Australia, and having Holden drivers not only beeping their horns at me for driving a Ford, but actively trying to push my car off the road, and attempting to ram into it!

not really shocking, but some people walk around malls with no shoes on.

... others, probably seeing naked girls on postcards. You never see that on canadian or american postcards. It was a first for me.

The spiders scare me, but haven't seen any in the week stay there 4 winters ago.

What else ... or yeah, that kuala bear that clung onto me for a photo shoot didn't seem to impressed either since we woke her up. I was afraid that she would slice my throat open with her 1 inch long fingernails. Scary stuff.

Other than that, nothing shocking. Once u go inland to the outback, ... get ready to faceoff with the wildlife.

'Broady' eh,? That town sure does have a reputation along with the other western suburbs of Melbourne.

Never been there but i've been told countless times that Claymore in Campbelltown is an absolute nightmare of a suburb.

haven't heard of the place. What's wrong with it?

I've been told it's the worst housing estate around & the type of people that live in it.
