I've heard that UNSW is practically an Asian uni transplanted in Australia, lol. Usyd has a better 'race balance' mate How's the 'hot chick' situation there btw?

Hmm.. Since I'm basically a Uni-whore (went to Macq Uni, then UTS and then post-grad at USYD) in my younger days, here's my take on them (again I reiterate: "in my younger days")):

UNSW: practically Little Indonesia due to the large Indo population in Kingsford and Kensington, but you may meet more "race balanced" groups from NIDA opposite the Uni (well, at least when I did a workshop at NIDA I was the only asian in amongst all the classes).

USYD: definitely more "race balanced", but I can only speak on behalf for the Post-Grad students who attended AFTER working hours.

Macq Uni: probably 65% asian due to the surrounding suburbs being asian-centric. Plus, I believe that their international student fees could be cheaper.

UTS: Depending on which campus. Ku-ring-gai campus tends to have the least asian population, followed by Broadway then Market campus.

And surprisingly I've been the only asian in all my workplaces! Sheeesh!

Back to topic: is there a catchup coming up???

situation at UNSW is weird,
if you do 'job' degrees such as engineering or commerce you'll end up with 90% asian student body.
if you do humanities degrees like art or psychology you'll end up with 90% white student body.

it's strange for me,
in german i'm the only asian dude,
in networks & routing i sit next to the only white girl...

Lol, actually it's pretty much the same here in USYD. I guess due to the fact that i general it has more white students overall compared to UNSW, it sorta balances out.

But what you've said happens is the situation here as well. In fact, if you are in the Darlington Campus (along City Road) near the Wentworth Building which is near the Commerce and Engineering Facs, you'll see lots of Asians. But it's the total opposite near Manning Bar in the Cumberland main campus, where the Arts Fac is situated

and you guys are right. UNSW and UTS Market campus is virtually dominated by Asians while USyd is more or less more balanced.

ANd yes yesss...more "practical" the course is, more Asians you can find there!

Hey Guys! Yea...I'm female...(don't know why the profile says male???) and yep...mature aged student. Animania is a very kool anime convention that's held at Town Hall in late September. I've been every year for the past 4...this year we're all cosplaying in Battle Royale gear.

I'm also doing a degree in Communications (film and media production)...and UTS is filled with hot asian men! Its like a cornucopia!!

OK...best of all for you guys...I have like about 8... 17-22 year old single females (daughters, neices and friends) who just adore asian men!!! Our biggest complaint is they all seem way too shy to talk to anglo girls...even when we all try and approach them??

Is it true that asian guys only really like blonde anglo women???

A lot of my girls are a bit with the wacky hair colours, and groovy clothes.

But...if you guys have any single male friends (or yourselves) looking to meet some anglo girls, we should do a meet up!
