About a year ago I worked with a girl who did quality assurance for a group of software developers. She told me about her experience working for a japanese owned company in the usa. She was once sent to Japan with a group of american workers for a project. My co-worker is a pretty girl. Light brown hair, green eyes, awesome figure. I thought about trying to escalate our relationship beyond friendship but she's a single mom and at the time I wasn't sure if I could handle that. Now I have no problem with it. Anyway, she told me about the reception her team received. She and another pretty WF were the only women among the american workers. The ladies received special gifts and generally got lots of attention from the japanese men. She said they really like american girls over there. By 'american' she probably meant caucasian. I've traveled in asia but never with a WF. I suppose an unattractive woman wouldn't be noticed but I wonder how pretty WFs are received in asian countries. I've traveled in south america with a WF and it wasn't a comfortable experience for me. All the guys were checking her out and as soon as my back was turned some dude was trying to hit on her.
I think pretty girls get a lot of attention anywhere.
I agree, hence I reckon the whinging female expats all BS about their appearance. I knew one whinging WF like that when I lived in Asia, but when her 19yo niece came over with some of her friends, it was a totally different story. They got lots of attention from men and women were rather jealous of them. I was only 11 or 12 then though.
