Melbourne is quite chilled...not as many people as Sydney. However after spending about 2 days walking about melbourne with my girlfriend, I feel that there are so many more Asian guy/non asian females than in sydney....saw about 7 - 8 couples who varies from pretty good looking to hoo hoo!

Funny thing is about 90% of the girls the guys are with are blondes. about 70% of the girls are really hot with the guys being only so so. Is that saying anything?

People are less friendly though.

As far as I can tell, AM/WF relationships here in Sydney is very minute. I only seen one once in a blue moon.

Yes, there are so many more asians here in syd. And this could be part of the contributing factor to the problem. If you look closely, alot of 1st gen asians here (which I believe the majority of asians here) clump together in their asian groups.

It is not common to see asian guys hanging out with aussies or other ethnicities. The ones that do are usually teenagers (possibly 2nd gen asians). There are always exceptions of course.

mate, I work at a big uni here and see a lot of students around, esp at the uni clubs I join, and I hardly see any AMXF couple. I've counted about 3 around here. domo must have had a good day when they're all in the CBD or something.

I haven't lived in Sydney but from my trips up there, it's not much different to Melb in terms of friendliness.

As for the AMXF couple count, I don't care anymore. Whether there are a few dozens or none, it doesn't really make it easier for you personally, does it? It's still a challenge, a bigger one tailored for us just because we're AMs, because we're special. I love challenges.

Sydney is more 'segregated' in a way, with various ethnic enclaves so that's why you tend to see people from certain groups cluster to one another and not bother mixing.

Well, if you want to call it that then its a good day alright. not that i go round counting, but when you see so many in 2 days, you wonder if melbourne is better for asian guys. ha. its all in the CBD by the way...one was at the airport.
