Howhow it is good u come to Hong Kong at that time. I am staying in Kowloon side as well and maybe we can meet up and hang out together. I also want to pracitice my English and meeting new people lol.
Star_eyes i send u some links of HK island and Kowloon place apartment. But u need to tell me how big(sq. feets) u expect ur flats is. As i got 2 places (one for living and one for hosting guest) in Hong Kong and i seldom go to the other place. If u dont mind i can let u stay for a time and u can find ur rent in a more relax way. My other place is in Tswan Kwan O which is in New terrritories but it is large enough for ur stuffs and the transport is ok. However i will send u some link at the same time :-) Just tell me more how much things u got and how big u want the flat is.
luv,
awww, thanks, but it took me a long time and a lot of coincidental timing for me to do this. the worst part is having to sell my car... G35. i don't write about it much here, but i love reading your posts because i totally identify with the driving thing. i've got a passion for the fast lane. and being in FL, let me tell you how difficult it is to open up. grandma always veers into the right lane at the wrong moment. i'm going to get a visor decal that says SLOW TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT in reverse so these assholes can read it from their rear view, if they bother checking it.
You have a G and love to drive and you've never even told me? Here I thought I was the only chicka around here that likes cars/driving. I don't know if I could get rid of my Yoji though. That has got to be tough...I don't do well not being able to drive...
I used to live in FL too and the folks down there drive me CRAZY. Miami was okay I guess, but those damn snowbirds...

Hey!
Yeah we can meet up. I'll help with english and you can help with chinese haha!~ where on kowloon side are you?
Marc, i am comfortable with very little square footage as long as i have a window. i am bringing one large suitcase. since i've stayed un HK each time fr a month, i know how to pack for it.
your offer is awesome!!! i'm staying in a hotel island-side from May 29-June 1, i thought that would be enough time to find a place short term, since my first stay is only to August 13. let's get together when i arrive. you can come over to the island or i can meet you in Kowloon. i know my way around so anywhere is fine.
your place in the NTs, is it walking distance to KCR? i've been to Tiu Keng Leng, but haven't really spent much time over there. maybe you could help me get a little bit more familiar with the area, and i would be more comfortble staying there.

howhow,
are you signing a lease long or short term? kowloon side, it looks like furnished might run you $8000HK or more, plus utilities. Marc is there and he's got good links.
i'm not sure what i'm doing yet. I'll have to think about it. I figure the rent wouuld be around 8000 and am prepared to spend around that.
it will be difficult not driving, for sure! i love my G. i had an MR2 with 18" rims prior to this, and that was like a frigin' gokart. man i had fun in that car... roundie rounds at 50 mph, i could not spin it out no matter how i tried. the G is heavier and the tires are softer, so it has taken me a bit of getting used to not pushing the speed on highway on-ramps and such. lol. it is great in traffic... i like to dodge.
