very good Nordic!!!! Although your translation was very good, it wasn't perfect German. So, let me correct this sentence for you:

@ OP: Don't learn German! It's way better to learn Spanish or English, if you don't speak one of them perfectly yet. If this is the case, I'd recommend you to learn French. But don't learn German.

Generally speaking, I thought the Germans and the Dutch were the friendliest people in Europe. I lived in German-speaking part Switzerland for almost two years and they were COLD. It didn't that I was learning high German while the locals spoke Swiss-German. Now that's a throaty language...
