It didn't hit me yet, no surprise here.
But if I got it right you can anytime reactivate your account if it gets deactivated after absence times.
As far as I understood AZNLover tries to encourage people to post more with that thingy, but it can appear somewhat strict to get that message repeatedly if people aren't as net-addicted as me but are regular members I guess.
Hmmm, what to do ... maybe I would just have it and make a random post after my absent time.
I guess there are advantages and disadvantages to every forum.
This one empathizes on an active membership by now, a good thing generally, but it can strike active but busy members like you this way.
Uhm, what else to say: good to have you here, even if you don't come all the time.

I suppose one could be a wiseass and just post a reply consisting of "............" to meet that ridiculous requirement.

IMNSHO, it's downright moronic.
With that kind of coerced participation, you end up with quantity but with a complete disregard for quality of the individual postings.
My bro has a message board with over 15K members - and will probably top 20K before long- and if he had this kind of asinine rule in place his forum would be in shambles.
Better for members to stay silent when they have nothing intelligent to add rather than posting just for the sake of taking up bandwidth, I say.

Thanks
You are right, the quantity over quality thing concerns me too.
I just hope that you two guys don't get majorly angry about each other here.
Maybe we can discuss this with somehow politer words?
The discussion could get interesting, we just gotta respect that AZNLover as a site owner in the end can do whatever he wants here.
Not every change will meet every individuals tastes.
But ok, you have not been wasting bandwidth so far and I know you aren't the type to do so either, I understand that a message to tell you to post when you feel you don't want to rubs you the wrong way.
Maybe Tom is trying to clean the place up and get the numbers down. Can't blame him...there are pages and pages of names on this thing that have one or two posts and that's it. Delete them and move on.

The requirement is like what, 1 post per 2 weeks? How hard is that? How difficult can it be to make at least two contributions per month even if it is only to welcome a newbie?
And what is the point of being a member of a place one does not participate in anyway?
