OK, I received a PM this morning (see below) making a request from me/the site. I replied to the member but I would like to know if this is an issue for others as well. Please be honest and no bullshit....Don't try and condemn the person whom sent me the PM as it is a valid request and concern of this user. I have removed the member's name obviously. Instructions on how to achieve the "To view adult content or not" are located at the end of this post.

Hey,
I understand your concern and can sympathize with you to an extent.
However, please keep in mind that this is an adult site and not neccesarily a "family friendly or family oriented" web site.
Since taking over the web site, I have (on more than one occasion/post) requested that adult oriented pictures be placed in the photo gallery and marked as Private.
One of the first things I did when I took over was to add two distinct features to the gallery: (1) Allow for pictures to be marked Private and (2) Enabled an "Adult Content" feature. The "adult content" feature allows any user to flag there pics as "Adult"...on the flip side of that, it also allows every viewer to select whether or not they want to see/view these adult pics. If they choose no, then they are not shown.
The problem is that there are thousands of pics in the gallery and many/most are from before these new features were added. Therefore, they aren't flagged as adult/non-adult. I simply don't have the time to go through all the pics and flag them.
Having said that, my reccomendation for the time being is to not allow your children to view the screen until which time you have the pics you want to view already selected. I know that's not a good answer, however given the nature of this site, my current "To Do" list of thing to get done/changed here....this problem is low priority.
I hope you can understand my point as well.

By default...viewing adult content is turned on...you don't have to do anything.
To NOT view/see adult content do this:
Open the Photo Gallery
Click on "Profile".
Click on "Edit Profile"
At the very top you will see the feature to turn On/Off adult/mature content.

That makes sense to me. I mean, like you said, it's kind of a hard problem since thousands of pictures were added before the new features were put in place. I totally get that not everyone wants to look at adult pictures, and it's great that we have these new features which do give people the option in the case of all new pictures. Maybe, and I do not know how hard this would be to do, there could be a report feature, when someone finds an adult picture which has slipped through the cracks. It could be something like they could select to report it, and a request will go to the user and the admins to edit the image to include an adult designation.
Like I said, I have no idea if that's going to be a possibility or not, and if it's a totally ridiculous proposition, then just disregard. It's the only thing I can think of to attempt to remedy the issue of previously posted adult photos slipping through the filter.

Actually, that feature is already there to an extent. There is a Report a Photo icon/button below each pic. It will inform me of the report. I don't think the individual photo owner gets notified though.
well due to the suggestive nature of alot of what is written here, i dont show/or share with my kids.. I dont stay logged on, or keep the site on my screen or toolbar..even due to the "lover" name...not appropriate for the office etc.
I just take it upon my self, to police what is and isnt appropriate for me.
This place has always had a very strong adult theme and focus. Will this be changing?
This member has been here well over a year and is an active member. I would consider it irrelevant to an extent whether they are old as dirt member or new. I'm asking for consensus on the subject. I agree just as I stated in the original post and reply...the site is of an adult nature/theme.....that will not change, however I do not want the site percieved as a porn site. I'm sure you understand.
Oh certainly! Being associated with pornography would bring its own err, "unique characteristics". It's more than just the pictures though. I think that a lot of discussions and even conversations on here would not be suitable for the young, so perhaps to be concerned about pictures on behalf of children would be a bit myopic.
Perhaps it would be a better idea for the said member to cut and past the discussions into email or text to show his or her daughter.
