reciprocal linking is done with sites that help promote/support AZL. Look in the footer of the site for examples. Signature banners are permitted as long as they are legit and OK'd by me. I'm not aware of what you are referring to on "your banners being removed".

As for the pics from Leroy being removed...yes, obviously you missed the posts/threads. There was a lot of communication during that time. The threads are still here...do a search and you will see. I will say with regards to that and any subsequent pics being posted or threads about such....whenever anyone posts anything here, I have ultimate responsibility for it... which includes it's removal (with or without) your consensus or anyone elses. The pics posted by Leroy were posted all over here and on other sites and w/o the original owners consent. Not that the owner had to give consent since the pictures were already on the WWW...it still did not sit well with some folks. So to avoid any more problems, the pics were removed. Period and end of discussion on that matter.

To your point about the site being a community and free reign to post whatever etc. and to long time members. This site is pretty open to allowing just that (post anything etc.) I have implemented some restrictions an sigs and pics solely on the reason of size. It's very tacky and distracts when people post a 640x480 or larger avatar or sig. Not to mention it is very bandwidth and process intensive on the server.

I am a bit offended actually by your tone in your post actually. I read it to say that the site owes you. Well, in fact this site is free, operates in the red (as in no profit, and at a continuing $$ loss to ME) and is here for you and everyone else that decides to use it. The site doesn't cost you a dime, it has features alot of the others do not or in which they charge for. So to that point all I can say is that I appreciate you and all other contributing members. Contributing members is what a forum is about and how it grows. However, I'm not about to let this place become the wild west. If anything, it will become more restrictive going forward for many reasons.

In closing...I simply asked for members to help promote the site for the sole purpose of helping it grow. The more members, the more interaction, the better it is for everyone. If you don't want to help promote the site by posting a banner on your MySpace/Facebook page (which costs you nothing), that's fine. I'm not begging you to do so nor do I feel I should be obligated to you or anyone else for having done so.

Rereading my post I can see why you might take it the way you did as it does come off rather snooty.
No offense was intended though.
If you go through any of my posts from joining to current day, it will give you an idea of what kind of person I am - at least in here

While fully acknowledging that you own and pay the expenses of running this website, without members there isn't any traffic which in turn means no click throughs or ad profits. As a former website owner I understand this completely.

At the same time, I'd like to share with you that Steve and I are two of the very few members who have actually DONATED cash to this website on a semi-monthly basis when Michael was running it. I've never aired this as I felt it was a personal thing and not something to publicize. But in this case it would be great for you to know so that you understand the tone of my previous post a little better.

Ultimately my questions are:

1. Can we post banners in our signatures without having them removed if it matches your size limit?

2. What is your size limit?

3. Do members that donate cash to the website get any incentives for doing so?

My banner was very small and that's why I felt it was unfair that it was removed without any explanation.

Maybe you just had software that removed all the banners and that's why you're not aware of the one I had.

As for referrals, I've sent TONS of people here already!!
