I love this website, it's my second home and many of you have become family to me. I'm willing to spread the luvv and I was just redoing my myspace profile for Christmas so I thought I'd put up one of the promotion banners for the site. However, I don't like the ones we have available, LOL I'm not knocking Tom, the banners available are nice, but... I think we can do better!

First of all, I think it would be nice to have pics of some of the ACTUAL members of the board on the banner or no pics at all. I'd hate for people to join because they saw someone they were attracted to only to be disappointed when they find out that person isn't here. And the suggestion of having it say AM/XF is good. I wouldn't really feel comfortable flying a banner that made this look strictly like a dating site either, we are much more than that. But if it looked good I'd still fly it.

We have some kick ass computer Gods on this site, can we have a contest to see who can come up with the best site banner? Would our fabulous owner be willing to back the winner up with some AL Buck$, since people are so desperate for it? If not I have some buck$ I can dish out. But I think it could be really useful to have.

I can do some ok graphics myself, once my computer is up and running again, but I can't make the software to support it as a banner... and I'm only a novice designer. I KNOW there are people with serious talent on this site! And I know I'm not the only one who gets bored in the middle of the night when insomnia hits. Why not release some of that into creativity?! What do you guys and gals say?! Please... pretty please!

I usually pay actual $ for banners. THere are a couple folks I use to create and they normally charge around $100-150 for 3-5 banners to be custom made.

So instead of paying them, I will make the same offer to members.

If there are any takers, post your samples here and the banner(s) with the highest vote count and that I find suitable for the site will each receive $50 bucks per banner. Max (3) Banners to be chosen/awarded prize $
