Yeah I don't see myself jumping on board with the adding friends thing. I would feel silly doing that at my age. I feel stupid enough having a myspace page , and I don't want to bring that silliness here.

To each his/her own. It doesn't matter what I do or don't do here...I will never please everyone. This site will change more with time as change is constant in everything.

However, regardless of how you visually feel about the new design/layout/features....there are a few things that are more than the "MySpace'ish" look and feel...they actually serve a purpose...example: Friends

You can now restrict certain things like Albums etc. to only your "Friends". That's just one example.

ThanksX. Yes, it was formerly known as "buddylist" but it didn't have nearly as many hooks into different areas as the current "friends" has and will have.

I like the idea of the picture restriction option.

I don't know about anyone else, but I get happy when I see the little blue light flashing telling me I have a message, or friends request, etc. I feel like Sally Field the night she won the Oscar for "Norma Rae", "You like me. You really like me!" ......

I don't live and die by who wants to be my friend. I see this site as I see my life. I've made friends throughout my life, and I've moved on and lost friends in the process, or they moved on, and this will continue for the rest of my life. But I learned something from each and every one of them whether I realized it or not, and I am different in some small, minute way just for knowing that person.

I can see how some people might be a tad uncomfortable to some people at first. But that doesn't mean that you HAVE to partake in all the new changes. They are jut here if you want them and I think Tom did a great job! I love it! I've been creating social groups and perfecting my profile.

You don't want a friend's list, don't create one. No one here will treat you any differently than they had before and you should know that by now. It just makes it easier to find the people you want and, the added privacy of the photos had actually prompted me to put up some photos again.

We are still the same old community just now we are more colorful! Or well, some of us by the looks of the profiles I've been browsing Relax and enjoy.. change is good! And everyone is appreciated here. So sayeth the Rat, LOL
