So I've been seeing a few threads pop up lately based on fear of deletion. How long exactly does an account have to be inactive for before it's deleted?

Personally I'm not sure why this is done at all. Trim the accounts that don't frequent the site, but lurkers? They're equal opportunity ad clickers too, no? :P

the inactivity notices are being taken way too seriously. you're on the site a lot seen, so i don't think you need to worry about it. but honestly, is it that hard to make a post once every two weeks? this is a forum/community after all.

once every two weeks is reasonable...

people do have busy schedules but posting something random once every two weeks shouldn't be so tough.

As Risky pointed out...don't take it too seriously...especially if you are/have been an active member. Everyone (including myself) gets that Notice if we don't post at least one msg within a 14 day period.

The site will automatically move an account after 60 days of inactivity to an inactive group. It does not delete the account. If the inactive account logs back on, then within 24hrs, it is auto-moved back to active status.

I do prune accounts...thus why you see approx. 5K accounts. This site has had well over 10K since it started.

So relax and don't worry but please don't post just any crap to maintain the 14 day window.
