I wanted to know if a time limit can be put on the "vote to kick" portion of the chat. Like a 5 minute time before the person kicked can get back into the chat?? Just a thought.
people need to stop abusing that in so many ways. yes, i have had my little bits of fun with it, but really.....it is not that funny. sometimes, i do not even vote for someone i can't stand to be kicked out. i think the best thing to do is to block that person. that is the most effective way and that person will most definately stay out of chat for a while or the night.
A time limit is a good idea but only if a majority of the room votes it, not just a few.
I haven't been in chat as much as I used to but I Know 'kicking' was a game for a while. In that case, a time limit wouldn't work. Also, some chatters tell me they get annoyed when just because 2 or 3 people are dominating the convo, or typing only a word or 2 and making the screen fly by too fast, or getting loud on cam, or otherwise trying to dominate chat... can you imagine the problems mods could have with that... everyone gets annoyed by something different! *sigh* LoL
In general though, for real problem chatters, maybe after a second boot, there could be a 5 minute return delay.
I don't think that kinda stuff is so easy to program in though. *srug*
The Flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and Beautiful of all.
The whole kicking for entertainment thing is sooooo stupid. It's not funny, and if people continue to abuse it I think it should be removed or THOSE people she get a "time out" of sorts. A 5 minute boot isn't going to be effective if you have a real asshole in chat trying to cause problems.. they tend to be pretty tenacious. I've delt with this kind of shit when moderating at other forums and I know it's a reach but we're all big boys and girls, let's act like it?
Oh I've felt that fire and I've been burned
But I wouldn't trade the pain for what I've learned
