OK, call me lame (don't y'all jump on that one so quick...I'm home sick and did do a search and can't find the answers) but I have some questions I can't seem to find the answers to:

1. How are these new rep points (saw the post on red stars but more jokes than serious responses) decifered? What do all these different colored stars, little colored boxes (green, etc.), and rep power points mean?

2. I saw Tom make some mention of being able to contribute to the site. I'm broke but want to do what I can to offer some assistance cause I like this place and want it to keep thriving. How can one contribute to the site? I didn't see a mechanism to do so.

Thanks for any assistance of anyone offering (serious/non-joke) responses. Much appreciated.

I can only answer part of you question, sorry.

The green reps are good, red are bad. You can hand out reputation points by clicking on the scales of justice located at the top right corner of each post. Leave a comment to go with what you like/dislike about that person's post. As for the stars, I don't know. They kinda remind me of the Nazi classification system

I don't believe the donation portion of the site is running yet, at least I couldn't find it anywhere myself. I too was looking for it the other day.

she knows the green/red system. the colors and the amount has been expanded. lol i think the orange just means you have more and it is good.

I'm guessing that once you hit your max of green and yellow lights, you get a star... although someone took some of my yellow away and I don't see any neg. comments in my profile...

If you do a search on rep it will tell you how you can reset your user cp to display only positive, a balance of positive and negative, etc. comments. I believe this was a site change made a while ago. I haven't changed mine so can't tell you exactly how to do it but did see instructions when I was doing a search on these questions today.

maybe the star things are supposed to be explained later. and maybe it is part of what aznlover had briefly told us about before, in ways to allow us to gain entry to other parts of the site that might be added??? if there is to add anymore at all.

I'm confused too (short trip). Maybe Tom or Bergie will enlighten us about it.
