Lots of people have this problem..weirdly enough..I'm running Windows Vista and never once had the problem...So I dunno about it being an OS malfunction.

Vista here. Does it to me. I think it's a router problem for me. Fact still remains though that it keeps me logged in the chat and I have to wait to get back in.
