I am curious why some members disapeared. I remember there are some very active members here. like Dancelot, Roguespears...........Their acounts are closed.

By the way, when the administrators decide to close someone's account, is it possible to post the reasons on the forum so that people can have some ideas about the rule?

I think the rule they probably broke is "Thou shalt not be an asshole."

Beats the hell outta me. I never understood why people "quit" messageboards.

If you get bored or don't like things about a forum, just don't come back. But to officially "quit" implies you took it too seriously to begin with.

let us just say there were conflicts of interest and you can find the answer studded through out the site. just do a search. i am sure the admin will never do that. that is kind of absurd.

Some members "quit" or left on their own. Others were closed for various reasons. As noted above, this has been the subject of other posts and I will not RE-explain here again. Please do a search and you will find your answer(s).

Keep in mind that when an account status states "Account Closed", it could be that the member requested their account closed or the admin team closed the account for whatever reason. The status says the same thing.

It is possible to publicly state the reason but the community is small enough to generally know why and/or ask the person yourself. Sometimes, it is of no business to anyone else to know the reason why or publicly announce.

For your and other's information, here are the different "status" an account may be in other than a regular account:


Account Closed - Either the admin team closed the account for X reason or the member requested their account closed. This status is also reflected if the member account was banned for just cause either perm. or temp.

Account Suspended - the account was "suspended" due to a potential issue with the account or the member and is pending review or explanation from the member. The account is restricted in capabilities to only Private Messages. If not resolved within a short period, the account is moved to the "Account Closed" status.
