Happy spring!! The 30th April and 1st of May are traditionally a celebration for spring in Finland. I didn't celebrate it in any special way here in Canada, but as you can see in the picture below, people wear student hats then in Finland.

Ya we dont have any special celebration about Spring in Canada. Although apparently in the U.S. they are having some kind of protest during today (according to the news).

But anyways, Happy Spring Honey Bunny!

Oh, have I showed you a pic of me wearing a student hat? When did I do that? I have completely forgotten.

Actually 1st May is Labor Day, but nowadays it is practically a celebration for spring, and a student party from 30th Apr to 1st May. Families also celebrate Labor Day. Today it is a public holiday in Finland.

I'm not sure why, but May 1 is sort of like protest day for Mexicans. May 1 is an official holiday in Mexico, so students are out of school and they have marches and rallies. In the US, a lot of Mexicans who are here illegally will boycott US goods and services, El Gran Boicot. Today in Phoenix there will be a march for immigration reform to the State Capitol. Last year's turnout was 10,000 marchers but it is sorta drizzly and gray today so it will probably be less this year.
