***Another thing, a lot of guys here are great pick up artists in fact. I presumably say that many of them are very smooth talkers and know how to talk to women. They are definitely aggressive and they always hit on random girls on the street. I see the actions going on everywhere. I always see guys approaching girls and end up swapping numbers and sometimes, they go straight from there.... amazing....
It's a game, it's called 'Draguer' in French. Every French boy knows how to play this game with girls.
First you hit on a girl, then you try to chat with her and impress her with your wit and you conclude by trying to get her number.
Most of the French girls are very open to this game. They're not gonna sue you for sexual harassment if you do this with them unlike American chicks. Everybody can play this game, Whites, Blacks, Arabs, Asians or whatever. What you need is to know is how to chat with girls or 'Tchatcher' like it is called in French.
Ps, people from the northern Europe speak EXCELLENT ENGLISH not just passable ENGLISH....some of them have never lived in any of the English speaking countries and only have a little accent. I don't know what kind of language program they have implemented at school but it works really good.... we need to implement what they have set up for English learning in Asian countries.
Because those languages are related. Schooling is another thing - it helps a lot, but the close relationship between e.g. Swedish and English is the dominant factor here.
Additionally, it is very easy for Scandinavians or Dutch to mime the accent, since those languages share phonetic patterns.
French is a romanic language, of course, English took lots of high-class elements from French and is really inflected by it, but still, phonetics are really different.
And meanwhile, my Slavic mouth is having serious problems adapting to the Dutch "R". Impossible!
I double my charm (pics) music_((d-_-b))

i thought that german had more in common to scandinavian than english does.. because a friend of mine who is german, could understand some of words what a scandinavian(norweigan) person was saying. and that when i was in amsterdam i felt like i was in germany for some reason.
and that the normans(french people of normandy) colonizing of england in ancient times had something to do with english taking up a lot of french words, maybe.

i dont know what u mean, cuz, i had a classmate once that was an exchange student from sweden, and he spoke very odd english, imo.
The French people in general are very curious of foreigners and they are pretty neutral toward the negative stereotypes of Asian men.
Yeah... and it shouldn't be too difficult to score at this time of the year. Most of my american friends didn't have any problem with the language thing, and they couldn't speak french to save their life. If you really wanna find yourself a french chick, slow down your speech when u talk, as simple as that. It worked for them so it should work for u. If you havent met any fr w. who could speak decent english then you're unlucky. But i doubt u wont find one before u come back to the states. Further more, any univeristy has a foreign language department, (LEA, B.A of english) go there if u havent thought of it and you'll find a chick for sure.
As it's August, you can also try tourist spots where there are tons of foreigners. The staff speak english and u might encounter a hot waitress, barmaid or whatever. I never had the balls to ask one out, but if you're not as coward as me you can try that.
(Be careful though, some bosses dont like when guys hit on their f bartenders.)
Or an easier solution. Is there any azn bro living in the south who could introduce him ffs ?
yeah, just adopt a better attitude and flirt for a bit
who cares if ur inexperienced...its all about confidence.
my ex roomie casanova has been with 20 girls by age 19 and sometimes he'll only last a min or two with a new girl like what you expect a virgin would do.
lol, he's a man-whore and maybe even an STD or two, so I don't really advise doing that...but saying no to pretty french ladies would be difficult...I'd imagine.
hmmm, AsyanFrench, lets say ur an attractive (or so you believe, but that's the most important aspect), tall (over 185cm), atheletic asian guy in any French city. Would you get approached if you make eye contact and smile or do you still need to do a lot of the work? Lol, that would make my life a lot easier than here in the Midwest US for the summer where people are standoffish and dumb as earthworms AND have never talked to an asian ever (can't wait till schools starts then foreign exchange)
I'm just wondering if I need to do anything special. My French is good enough for casual intros, compliments, etc but then I need a backup if I'm having a serious conversation.
If you have noticed, the southern Europeans seem to be shorter than the northern ones. If you go all the way up north (sweden, denmark, finland, norway, etc.) holy shit, they are tall as fuck.... you will be very intimidated by the tall girls there.
Haha, not all Nordic women are that tall. I am not! We exist in all sizes and shapes

Another thing,,, lol I find those nordic people somewhat xenophobic and introverts.....no offense
Thank you! But it is kind of true, that we are like that, especially non-Swedish Nordic people.

English-speaking pop culture on TV and radio, many English-speaking programs on TV, not dubbed but subtitled. That added to the fact that Nordic countries are small, we know that if we want to travel, see foreign countries and get foreign men (Yay!! ), we better learn some foreign languages too.

You are right. Scandinavian languages are also Germanic, namely Northern Germanic languages. English is a Western Germanic language, along with Dutch, Frisian, German etc. So English IS related to Scandinavian languages, but German is even closer to them. My knowledge in Swedish actually helped me to learn Germany pretty fast while I studied it...
