AznLover EuropeDiscussions about living, working, studying, visiting, or playing in Europe.
Many of the Ivy leagues in the U.S. have greatly reduced tuition for parents making below X amount of dollars. Stanford upped the ante by offering free tuition and housing for households making below $100k and discounted tuition for those that make a bit more.
Unfortunately when you're talking about 7 - 15 years from now (my sons' college ages), things will change and I know tuition will be way up. For those middle class income wage earners, we make too much money for financial aids and not enough to cover tuitions. In this country, middle class families get screwed.
That's funny. International experience is not valued in the US?
Well, your kids can then stay in Europe or Canada and work there if they can't get a job in the US.
Isn't hard to get work visas in Europe if you are an American? Unless you have skills or experience companies in Europe desperately need, it's hard to get work visas.

I don't know. But since there are Americans living in Europe, it is not impossible
Yeah Finland brought clean water to Vietnam. Finns started the massive project in the 80s to 2000 to repair the water system there. Today clean water is called "Finland water".

Really? I didn't know that. However, I still don't trust the water there for drinking. It got to me the last time I was in Vietnam in 1997 when a waitress put ice in my soda. Big mistake!

Yeah I wouldn't drink the water there. lol Maybe I should "clean" water.
Actually the project was done in Hanoi city. I am sure half of the ppl there still don't have have access to clean water.
One of my best friends from my current master is Finnish and for her farewell party, she made us some kind of hot wine with some kind of nuts and dried fruits, I forget the name but I was really tasty and she told me that it was from Finland. Maybe somebody here know how does it call?
