Belgrade
Has anyone been to Belgrade? Thinking of making a trip there mainly because I've heard the women there are beautiful!

My questions:
How safe is it?
How prevalent is english?

Others on my list: Prague, Zagreb, Budapest.

I've been there three times so far - once in 2001 and twice this year.

I can say it's much safer in Beograd than in the most part of Manchester.
Young people generally speak English at various levels of fluency, but the older ones probably understand Russian or German better.

I really miss it and will definitely go back there again.

I don't quite like Praha and Budapest anymore as they are way too touristic now. I have no idea about Zagreb, because I always get stuck in Serbia and lose time to visit Croatia or BiH.

I would agree with Yoshi re: Prague and Budapest. Foreigners are pouring in from everywhere. And soon it just because a diluted experience cuz all you see are foreigners every friggin place you go to.

I like Prague
if you're thinking about visiting
this is the best time
the dark fall weather makes the city look so carnal...
i love the dampness and the shady caracters that
walk down the medieval streets
and the air mixed with fog is so earthy...
Prague is my favourite european town in this time of the year.

Praha is nice (if I manage to ignore drunk Brits), but I'd rather sit in a bar in Beograd and drink "Jelen" or "Niksicko".
