Contratry to common beliefs, there are tons of Asians in France, Chinese, Vietnamese, Laotians, Cambodians, Japanese, Koreans.
When I'm in the USA, people are always surprised when I say I come from France or that I am a French citizen. Not only the White Americans but also a lot of Asian Americans.
They find it hard to believe that you can be Asian and French at the same time. I told them that if an Asian American can be Asian and American at the same time, why can"t an Asian French be Asian and French at the same time too. I guess it's the same for Asian Canadians, Asian Australians or Asian British.
Imagine having to tell people that you are Vietnamese, Asian, and with family in the former Soviet Union, like me!
There are also tons of Asians in the former Soviet Union. One of my ex-girlfriends was russian. She told me that in Moscow, you can find plenty of Chinese, Vietnamese, Mongolians or Koreans not counting all the people native from Siberia or from Central Asia.
