AznLover EuropeDiscussions about living, working, studying, visiting, or playing in Europe.
Europeans here have strong feelings against the Turks, but really are ignorant about Asians. Plus the Asians here are very very quiet. Half are assimilated completely and the other half stick together in enclaves.
Doesn't bother me. I'm still having a much better time than in North America and I still get way more attn here than back home.
Hey, when will you come to Paris to see us Azn French Lovers. It's not very far from Antwerp by train. With the TGV you can get to Paris in 2 hours.
If you can, go to Brussels to have fun. The Walloons are much more friendly than the Flemish and the food is better too. When I was in Antwerp for business, the food was awful except the beer.
And last but not least, you can practice your French in Brussels and Paris.
A hundred years of human existence,
Prodigy and fate intertwined in conflicts,
Mulberry fields turned into open sea,
Enough's been seen to melt the heart.
Little wonder that beauty begets misery,
For Blue Heaven's jealous of exquisite glamour!
I was there, went to Showcase (club near Pont D'Alma), and people weren't too friendly lol
I have met some Wallons, they seemed the same.
There are me and some other Azn French guys in Paris who are members of this site.
Early April, I plan to organize a diner and Karaoke party with some members of this site and some friends, if you wanna join us it's gonna be great.
The Walloons you met in Antwerp were not very friendly and it's normal. Antwerp is a rich and boring city while Brussels is a very lively place although less rich than Antwerp. I used to go to Brussels to have fun with friends. And you speak a little bit French too. You shouldn't have problems having fun in Brussels.
I am starting feel more local as I walk around the street. Because of recent protests in Tibet, I am starting to see a lot of Tibetans walking about.
At first I didn't know they were Tibetan since after all, many Tibetans don't look much different anyways, until I saw them carrying Tibetan flags. My guess is that most, if not all, were born outside of Tibet (most likely in europe).
They traveled in groups and looked at me for a while to try to tell who I was (i persume, or maybe its just I was much taller than the avg guy in Chinatown). Didn't sense much hostility except for a couple guys who were dressed like musclemen who gave everyone they saw a mean stare.
I wonder why they were all in Chinatown...after all, the main protesters were in Brussels in front of the embassy.
