Preferred Gateway City to Europe?
I am considering going to Europe this year, which will be my first time in seven years, and that last time my gateway city was Paris.

This time, I am considering on Paris being a gateway city again, but I am tempted to change it to either London, Amsterdam or even Dublin.

Is there a particular European city that you have a preference as your gateway city?

If you want all your bags arrive to your destination with you and have your flight arrive in time, go to any city of Germany. If you wanna get stuck at an airport for hours due to terrorist threat, choose London. If you wanna lose all your bags and arrive late, choose France

there was a good reason I came to Canada via Frankfurt, and I don't complain.

I would say Amsterdam. Its quick and easy to get through Passport Control & Customs. The people there are pretty helpful if you get lost. Can't forget to mention the Red Light District! Hehehehehe.

London is usually the cheapest gateway from the U.S. Though they seem to hassle you about passport & customs. I hate to deal with that.

I vote Amsterdam. London sucks ass IMHO- bad food, terrible weather, expensive. Amsterdam= friendly people.
