This year's ESC is held in Belgrade, Serbia. Do you have a favorite? I have so far heard songs of Finland, Serbia and Ukraine by far. The contest is shown live in all of Europe and Israel. You can watch the contest online at 3 pm EST at Eurovision Song Contest - Belgrade 2008 We watched it live least year. Maybe this time we see a rerun...

Although I am German, this time I am with Suomi. A friend from Finland just made me listen to their entry and I gotta say, that song just kicks ass! ^^

True that. In Germany they are a legend, but they split up and came back last year. Unfortunately couldn't live up to their glory from past days, so this meant Grand Prix or nothing. Well... their live performance is actually really good, so I won't complain. They know, what they are doing...

Well, well, well... There are a lot of countries in the east, I realized. And there is a lot of Armenian immigrants all over Europe. At least, that's what I saw in the votes. Wasn't really a surprise, all in all... except that Finnish TV guy - I AM IN LOVE!!!

Oh, and also interesting, the Russian song that won the trophy, was produced by Timbaland - which makes him also a hitproducer in Europe, after he already had that cooperation with the French Justin Timberlake-version.
