Sacral buildings were often associated with beauty. Alas, it is different in Poland. Is the the fault of an architect, the rector or maybe the parishioners?

If this is how the new housing estates are supposed to look, then I prefer the old ones....

Slaughter. Hotel called 'Korona'.

Byzanthium in Poland. Another sacral building with byzantine splendour in a country of poor people /God's sheep.

Hmmm... Entity shapes awareness.... Or sth like that?

This charming hotel is called Pekin and was built in Wladyslawowo, 200 meters from, arguably, the most beautiful beaches in northern Europe! (I have been to many beaches, so I know what I'm talking about!)

A tragic mistake in colouring.

Another church in a village inhabited by 400 people. Oh, the funds for the investition are assembled during masses in an 'as you please' or 'what-ever you can' manner. I haven't got the slightest idea why the rector came up a brilliant idea to build a church for 5000 people in the abovementioned village. Anyway, this is one of the few that was miracuosly finished. A cross-over of mauritanian style and a TV tower.

Usually the facade colour of objects meant for public use is a logical result of used materials, e.g. concrete, glass, masonry....
UNLESS you build a ****hotel in Warsaw onto which you glue styrofoam and paint it in random colours and patterns! And this dome at the top!

Brilliant!

LOL

In Wroclaw. Like a fairy tale. Congrats for the investors! xxxx

Beverly Hills in Lodz.

Another church.

And another.

?!?!?!?!?! wtf....?

Where is vertical??!?!?!

Classic Polish detached house.

Krakow. That is now en vogue in Poland to renovate the Soviet blocks by painting them in brand new, fabulous colours!!
