That is a good movie, hard to find, but I finally managed to get a copy of it. Excellent Film.

Couple of nights ago, I was watching a program on PBS, called Fire and Ice, which is a documentary on the war.

A Good watch as well.
Much respect for the brave, resilient and fearless finns.
If you want to see a different kind of war movie, I recommend "Mother of Mine" http://www.aideistaparhain.com/large.html

In that one it describes the fate of Finnish war children. 80 000 children were sent to other Nordic countries when Finland was in war.

Years ago, I read a book about the Winter War and learned that Mannerheim was an officer in the Russian Army and fought (somewhat apathetically) against the Japanese in the battle of Port Arthur.

My greatgrandfather was a young Lieutenant attacking the fort and became one of the lucky few who managed to come back alive.

Thank God both of them survived.

Anyway, all the best to Finland.
