got my ticket for peru and chile. really want advice for chile. what spots should i definitely hit? anything to help

Chile DOES have good wineries...but FOOD?!?!..where did you get that??..Chilean food is like..non existant...now Peruvian food is worth trying...the best in the world next to Chinese, French and Indian some say...I personally do not like French food at all..too fancy and you are never filled up.

About places to visit in Chile..well..what can I say..I don't want to be biased but there aren't many turistic places that might impress you besides Rapa Nui (Easter Island). Unfortunately, its far from the mainland. Valparaiso and Viña del Mar might worth seeing. Shrug..my relatives who live in Chile come to Peru frecuently to enjoy our food and touristic places, they admit they can't compete with us, unless you are into City life.

I've camped in Chile, so I only had camp food there. But if their beef is anything like Argentinian beef, you have to have some of that. Just stay away from the salads (if it's anything like Argentinian salads).

ive been to chile a long time ago but it was mainly a business trip so unfortunately i didnt get to see the place for what its worth. but i would suggest going with a tour group because i dont think, south america is really a well established touristy area like europe but im sure it can be just as fun if you know the area and what exactly you going to do there. besides that, i also know there's famous waterfall which i think is in argentina which is right by santiago. oh and while your down there, try guarana. its good stuff that you cant get here in the states for some reason.
