Thumbs up The Home Song Stories

An excellent film that was shown at the Berlin Film Festival earlier this year, it's a joint Singapore-Australian production about director Tony Ayres' childhood: a singer who uproots her family to move from Hong Kong to Australia for a better life, and their trials and tribulations in a new land.  Check out the trailer here:

I hope this Singapore-Australian movie will do better than "One Last Dance", which I saw and considered a piece of shit.

This is so utterly not my kind of film, though. My kind of film is where the guy hero righteously kicks ass and fucks women.

This type of film is just too dramatic and horrifying for me.
