I just watched Fearless during the weekend and he mentioned that in an interview. When he said that, I just knew that he wouldn't be able to stick to it.
I agree... these two actors give much better performances when they are in Asian films. I grew up with the Monkey King in various film and television incarnations as well and was hoping for something more traditional with a modern take on the legend. I never expected an Anakin Skywalker scenario... at least I hope that's not where this movie is headed!

this looks very interesting but why the white kid, kinda kills it, makes me feel like they only had him there to get ratings for the movie...i'm not trying to be rude, its just different i suppose...having it in acient china, and having a white dude in it but we'll see overall always wanted a jet li and jacki chan collaboration.
