And what is this bond AA men and Black women share? How is it different between Black women and other non-White men?
The thing is about us dear is that:
1. We are both being left behind by our significant racial gender opposite. A lot of Asian men complain that Asian women don't want them and are leaving them behind. News flash: Black women are finding it hard as hell to get a black man, because apparently, the black men don't want us.
2. On a stereotypical level, black women and Asian men are on the same page, albiet the opposite end of the spectrum. For example:
Stereotypical Asian man: asexual, quiet, highly intelligent, boring.
Stereotypical black woman: hypersexual, loud, brash, ignorant, ghetto.
3. The media reinforcement of stereotypical roles of black women and Asian men are consistent with the facts stated in #2.

There IS a connection there.
You're talking about stereotypes. That doesn't mean there is a *bond* between the two.
Edit: The complaint that AA men can't get a woman (AA or otherwise) is bull. Don't believe everything you hear on the internet. Seriously. For every "horror story" on the net there are a bunch of functional, healthy AA pairings.

Very valid point you have there. Why the heck couldn't I think of that. Well, I'm glad someone did. It does make sense. Both parties get the shitty end of the stick either way, and the stereotypes match up. Clevurrrrrhh.

I wrote a book about that. It's currently being published. You'll have to read the book to find out about my motivations.
But with that said, I will add that being outside of the States definitely enables you to get a better perspective on how the States functions, and on how it effects the people itself. And it gives you a lot of perspective, to compare and contrast. But you probably already read about that in the latin forum.
I'll take a look at it if it gets to a Borders or Barnes and Noble. I grew up in Hawai'i. I know very well how the United States functions.

I think what she means is, due to the stereotypes which coincidentally match up, it's easy for both parties to find some common ground in regards to their oppression due to such stereotypes. They're both feeling this frustration because of the stereotype boxes, bubbles, what have you, that they're placed into, which are ironically parallel...
I can't.. make this information any more digestible for you, so if you still disagree then.. we can agree to disagree on this.

We shouldn't pay attention to stereotypes or other societal mess around us. It'll just weigh you down. Just believe that you're good and everyone else sucks
There is certainly common *political* ground between Asian men and Black women in terms of dealing with the racist stereotypes that put each group at the bottom of the "sexual/dating food chain" in the USA.
In terms of one's personal life, it's important not to let these social conceptions affect your self-confidence and belief in your own worth.
Ultimately, however, these problems need to go beyond merely personal solutions to the socio-political arena. That means building broader public awareness and movements that confront both these stereotypes that afflict each group and the US system that creates them.
I suppose that Aznlover.com could be seen as a small example of this in action.
