To read this from YOU of ALL people. I just read your intro thread after seeing your profile. You have a GREAT big HAWAII flag in your profile. Then a nice SEA turtle as your avatar. I been living in Hawaii for two long HELLISH years and have ONE nightmare one to go. I look around and see BLACK looking Hawaiians all over the dang place. Oh, my bad, your not Hawaiian, your just a MUTT Asian of Japanese, and so forth mixed. You have no BLACK blood running through you veins. So you CAN say that without being told that you are self hating .."
What was it like for YOU to be in Hawaii growing up? If I may ask?

From what I see living here. All men here get the girl, no matter what color. Hell, I have even seen Black women get the guy.." Though for it to be "ONE LOVE" in Hawaii, I do see Asians here going for Asian only and maybe the White chick. But, that is because the folks here are VERY closed minded beyond belief. Oh, I am just a passing through women here and I do GET the hatefulness that the Asians love to give to the non Asians here. Hell, the folks here hate each other so bad that I can't wait to get the next palne outta here.
Why for such a small isolated island is all the HATE still even here? Can you please tell? I also hope that when you do have off spring, you DO NOT pass such UGLY HATE to them...
Oh, by the way I lived in Japan for a year and a half. I never had the ugly looks over their. Hell, I even made FRIENDS their. WOW! But, come to HELLAII ( where ASIANS HATE ALL- it seems) I was shocked! It is like a nesting ground to send out NEW hate groups. But, you can't, you still have to deal with the Hawaiians !!
This is THEIR LAND! I worked with a MIXED ASIAN kid and he told me how the ASIANs don't even hang out with the Black kids. He said the Hawaii kids and the Black hang out. Wow, when I was in school, I hung out with all the kids except Asian also. Mainly because, the Asian kids with speak their own lang and would not even give us the time of day. Our groups would be White, Black, Mexican and even the exchange students would be at our table chatting. But you look and see the Asian kids table. Wow.." I always wondered why was that?

So the world is only White and Black? Yeah they're Browns and Yellows and maybe some other colors in the world too, you know. To you, anyone who isn't White might be Black, but that doesn't mean everyone else feels that way.
Regarding Hawai'i: Born and raised, five generation kama'aina. I have an impeccable pedigree, a large family and roots that go back 100 years. Beats your puny 2 years don't it? I look like every one else...because I am like everyone else in Hawaii. What do I look like? I'm probably as dark as you in your avatar, probably a bit darker. Does that make me Black. No. That might piss you off, but hey--I'm not. Just get used to it.
Are my people closed-minded? Possibly. Depends on your perspective. But I will say we have pride and history and cultural identity. We have a sense of the present and a sense of the future. We know what works and we are happy with it. Yes, we do intermarry with Whites but I would not say that it is a common occurance and we certainly don't suck up to them. Yes, a lot of us are "mutts" but those mutts can be quite pretty. A lot of them get modeling work, so I guess some people outside of Hawai'i feel that way too.
Yeah I've read your posts about your "troubles" in Hawai'i. Specifically, why Local guys don't go for Black women and how you practically have to force some guy to give you some lip service as to "yeah, I'll date a Black woman, but only if she is hot." Well what do you expect? Do you honestly think you can just live in our HOME and disrespect us? You come to my State with your own agenda and get pissy when we don't agree with you. Wow I guess I should feel sorry that a foreigner wants to tell us what to do and who to have kids with. You're just as arrogant and pushy as a White. So that's gonna be my nickname for you: Hoale girl. Yeah, that's right, you're a White girl now. Congratulations! Tell you what, have you gotten to know MY people, MY culture and MY history? No I doubt it, but correct me if I'm wrong, please.
And regarding my comment about "Black women being the least desired in American society"--well aren't they? What was it, 45% of Black women never marry, right? Black women are being ignored by Black men, etc. etc. So what conclusion do we make here?

Ah, so I exerted myself trying to explain for about the millionth time and it proves futile in the end. Selective comprehension. You only read what you want, and understand what you want to understand. Look, BW and AM shouldn't be attracted to each other automatically, as though magnets. You know that sounds silly in itself. I told you before and I'll say it again: it's nothing more than common ground. It doesn't result in instant reaction and I know this! Stop misconstruing. At least try to fathom what I'm saying and quit being so annoyingly black and white.
