PUA techniques work as well or even better on intelligent women. They work on women's emotions. Plenty of 4.0 GPA undergrads, law students, and medical students have not proven to be immune.

I took 1 or 2 psych classes as an undergrad. Then I went to medical school and then law school. Many of the studies I read are peer reviewed and published in journals. I access them via Pubmed or Google Scholar. This is where researchers, professors, physicians, etc., do their research.

And why are you unable to cite any studies to support your positions if you're so well-educated?

From what I gather, the PUAs are originally less socially adept folks who use these principles to essentially give themselves confidence. I think it works for them because it's kinda like studying and applying textbook rules, which those who are less socially adept are usually good at doing. Having answers and a method which depersonalizes everything is something they could easily relate to and apply.

I don't think I take issue with this. I guess it'd bother me only if they use the methodologies not so much to enhance themselves, but to become someone they really aren't. Problem is, I think this is more the norm than the exception. I think you read about how these guys keep saying "I used to be such a dork, etc, etc until I learned this or that." That bothers me. You're suppressing your true nature only to be a cookie-cutter PUA...in other words a fake with no real individual substance if one were to take away these "how-tos" which you were taught. I mean, just look at that AsianWeek photo..those guys, they're dressed to the nines (I guess), but something's missing in that style, isn't it? depth. they're dressed alike. They walk with the same swagger. As if by instructions. robots.
