My date for a movie night fell through so...
I know this is late scheduling considering The Dark Knight comes out tomorrow (Friday) but if any of the South Bay Area folks want to get together to see Batman at Century Shoreline or AMC Mercado 20 (or other SBay cineplex) this weekend, let's do it.
For some reason now, I can no longer check this forum from work so I'm only able to read up before I leave the house and when I return.
And I'm not cool enough to have net access all the time. That's only an issue for Friday but I'm thinking of a Saturday mini meet for the screening.
I saw Notorious E.Y.K's
mentioning of the
Japanese Obon Festival in Mountain View. Just a few miles south of the theaters.
A possible agenda--
1. Meet up at the festival (it's free) shortly after it opens at 4pm and walkabout/lookaround until 6pm-ish.
2.
As of this typing, there are tickets still available for Saturday's evening screening at Shoreline:
6:15, 6:45, 7:15, 8:00, 9:35, 10:05, 10:30, 11:20
So, depending on ticket availability, we either see the movie first and grab dinner later or dinner first and movie later (that latter scenario could come into play if the 645p through 935p screens sell out).
This article indicates there will be food at the festival (probably a few bucks) so one could satisfy their sushi, teriyaki and udon noodle habits before watching the flick.
The movie ticket fare is $10.25 and of course, jacked up prices for hot dogs, Cokes and popcorn within the cineplex. Budget accordingly. They do accept credit cards :-)
