Can't believe there's no real threads on Vancouver. WIth such a huge asian population there....for those of you there, what do you like/dislike about Vancouver? what kind of activities do you do?

I’ve spent the 90’s in Vancouver… Mainly on Kitsilano Beach, right at corner of York and Vine (block up from the beach)

Between March and October it was mostly beach volleyball, 4 to 5 times a week. Kit’s Beach, Jericho Beach and Lacrano Beach… Weekends consisted of various tournaments…

Amazing and beautiful hiking trails up the costal mountains…

The abundance of out door patio’s

The people in general were healthier in physical appearance… I think most people have a healthier life style in Vancouver than in the states or other parts of Canada...

The more laid back attitude of the citizens (excluding the recently arrived HK Chinese)

What I didn’t like was the clickish locals, it took a few years to break through to them…

Oh and the best part was cheering for the Leafs when they were in town… The leaf fans would drown out the hometown Canuck fans… lol…

I didn’t spend too much time in Clubs… so can’t really tell you about that…

Only STUPID and IGNORANT people find me offensive!

Love the outdoor lifestyle. Great Hiking, Skiing, Biking etc. Not too fond of the rainy season though it is better than living with the cold winters that other parts of Canada have to deal with.

The trade-off for the enormous outdoor benefits is that the nightlife, arts and cultural aspects are decent, but still not as good as Toronto or Montreal (other than the huge chinese community).

The laid back attitude is a bit too slack for me after about a week. That might have more to do with the fact that my friends out there (mostly old university roommates) are all stoners.

Snowboard and hike. Much like here in WA.

Vancouver kicks ass. Pretty girls look you in the eyes and smile.
